Military artwork and portraits by self-taught veteran/artist Willie Jones. Artist bio:
Willie Jones Jr., a native of Greenwood, MS, started drawing at a young age. He is a self-taught artist. He acquired his drawing skills through reading instructional books such as how to books, by renowned artist and art instructor Walter Foster. Willie is a member of the Air Force Art Program and contributes to the Air Force Art Collection annually.
He has been an active member for over 30 years with 38 pieces of art contributed. Willie has artwork decorating the walls of many Air Force bases and a couple of universities in Illinois, South-Western Illinois College and the University of Illinois. He has artwork in a few air museums in Arizona, Delaware, and North Carolina. He also has artwork at the Historic Army Airfield, Moton Field in Tuskegee, Alabama.

Reading about exploits of the greatest generation guided him
towards a US Air Force career.
Willie became a vehicle operator/dispatcher. He wanted to become a graphic illustrator, but the Air Force needed vehicle operators/dispatchers more than artists. Vehicle operator/dispatcher was his Air Force Specialty, bu
