This 3-part class series is about getting you to take your poetry practice more seriously. You will maximize what you’re already doing, add more time to your writing life, form better writing habits, and start to learn to study poetry with a more critical eye. You’ll also gain insight on how to create new ways to write poems while being exposed to new poets and their books. There will be “homework” handouts and some writing prompts. Additionally, you’ll gain access to some writing resources. Commitment to all three classes is REQUIRED. Bring paper and pen or pencil to write, take notes, and/or doodle! Class One: What's Your Practice? - Wednesday, November 11th, 6-7pm Class Two: We Write - Monday, November 23rd, 6-7pm Class Three: Plan Your Work, Work Your Plan - Monday, December 7th, 6-7pm There will be 30 minutes of free time after class to read, write, and/or study.
